Congratulations to the Boy's Tennis Team on their Regional Championship last night. Between 1 doubles defeating the defending state champs and not losing an individual match in regionals as a team, we are proud. Let's Go South Tennis!

 

Come to the Future Engineers Society meeting on October 12th during SRT in Mr. Sheehan’s room, A308 to hear from two guest speakers working at Crane. Aerospace engineer, Hannah Sniderburn and mechanical engineer, Casey Main, will share their insights about their fields and real-world career experiences. 


Attention problems solvers! It’s time for Math League! The first contest of the 2026-2027 Indiana Mathematics League competition will be held Tuesday, October 20th immediately after school in room A334. There is one contest per month for six months with each contest lasting 30 minutes. No calculator is allowed. No advanced registration is required, and there are no fees. See Mr. Raney in A331 for a complete schedule and sample contests.


Calling all innovators: Want to change the world through STEM? Join this year's STEM Innovation Teams kickoff to learn about Solve for Tomorrow, ExploraVision, including free coaching and support here at South! Sign up for Panther Plus with Dr. Milks on Tuesday, October 13th in A311.

 

There will be a parent meeting for boys wrestling on October 15th, in the Large group room 6:00 p.m. You will get all the information you need for this wrestling season.

 

Please join us for a pancake breakfast fundraiser, benefiting the Bloomington South swim & dive team. Saturday, October 24th 8:00-10:00 a.m. at Longhorn Steakhouse on College Mall Road. The cost is $10.00, includes pancakes, sausage and coffee or juice.

Come out and support your Panther volleyball team for senior night TONIGHT! We have 8 seniors we are celebrating. The senior night ceremony will take place between JV and Varsity matches at approximately 6:45PM. Royal South Toyota is sponsoring this match and is paying for student entry. Please see Jessie in athletic office anytime this week to grab your ticket and come support your Panthers as we take on Seymour for our last regular season match.

Happy Socktoberfest, South! For the month of October German club will be collecting new, clean socks for the Panther Closet. Donations can be dropped off in the collection box in the library. Keep our community warm this winter!

 

Do you love animals? PAWS is having a meeting on October 9th after school in room A239. Come meet Gracie, a therapy pug, who goes around Bloomington hospital, spreading joy to patients. Swing by and give Gracie lots of love for the work she does! 


Closets of the Community is hosting their first drive of the year running through October 9th. Drop off your used clothing items, school supplies, packaged food items, and new toiletries in front of the Main Office in the grey bin. Donate to make a difference! 

 

PHOTO DAY IS COMING! School Picture Day will be Monday, October 12th, for freshman and sophomores and Tuesday, October 13th, for juniors and seniors.
