Congratulations to the Unified Track team for a 1st place finish at Conference last night!  We had some big-time performances by Nick White, James Tirey, Beau Badger and Breyton Mellor at Shot Put and Jaida Mason, Trevon Murphy, Lane Veach and Cruise Calovich at Long Jump.  In the 100 meter - Sarah Olavarrieta, Christian Lawalin, Quentin Farmer and Noah Hughes all had PRs. In the 400, the toughest race around, Michael Mmadi, Bradley Watkins, Ethan May and Erik G'Sell all had PRs too.  The Girls relay with Ella Hightower, Henna Ahmad, Jaida Mason and Lila Megnin took 2nd place, while the Boys Relay took 1st place with Trevon Murphy, Yoyo, Oliver Parker and Shaun Cooper. Next meet is Monday here at South against North. See you there!

Attention seniors: to celebrate National College Decision Day TODAY, sign up for the senior celebration in Panther Plus in the LGR! There will be free donuts and a photo booth. Congrats seniors! 
 
There will be a last-minute review for the AP Government Exam on Monday during SRT with Mr. Norris in the auditorium. Stop by room A111 if you have any questions.

Annual athletic pre-participation physical examinations are being offered again this year for all student-athletes attending MCCSC High Schools in the upcoming academic year (2026-2027). Monday May 11, 2026, 6:00–8:00 p.m., Bloomington High School North Gymnasium. The cost is $20.00. Students can pick up a physical form in the Athletic Office or go to your Final Forms account and print one off. The parent’s part of the physical form needs to be completed and signed before showing up on May 11th. (bring form with you).

The 2026 BHSS Prom will be held on Saturday, May 16th from 8pm-11:30 pm in the BHSS Atrium. Tickets will go on sale on Monday, May 11th. Tickets are $45 and include Post Prom immediately following. Reminder that if you are bringing a guest that does not go to South, you need to pick up a guest form in the Main Office and turn it in to the bookstore when purchasing tickets. Tickets can be bought with cash or card. 

Help needed for Post Prom! Post Prom will be from midnight to 2 am, May 16-17 at Classic Bowling Lanes. We need volunteers to help staff the event and to donate prizes for the raffle. Mother’s Day is next week, Sunday, May 10. Annual Mother’s Day Cards Sale by German Club will take place during all lunches on Wednesday, May 6, Thursday, May 7 and Friday, May 8. Buy that special card for your mom or your guardian for only $2.00 while supporting a good cause.

Attention 2nd trimester AP Lang students! As promised, Mr. Kerr is offering some extra test prep ahead of the AP Lang test on May 13th. Sign up for his Panther Plus on Tuesdays and Thursdays for some extra test prep.

The School Smiles dentist is returning to our school on May 12th for dental cleanings. If you missed the dentist’s first visit, there is still time to get your student signed up for our upcoming visit! Please visit https://schoolsmiles.com/student-signup/ to sign-up today! A new form needs completed each school year to remain in the program, but if you have already completed a form for the 2025-26 school year, you do not need to sign-up again. School Smiles accepts Medicaid, private insurance, and offers self-pay rates for those who may be uninsured. Paper copies of sign up forms are also available in the Health Office or with the School Social Worker.
