ATTENTION, there is an update to photo day. Freshmen and sophomores will have their photos taken on Thursday, October 9th, while now both juniors and seniors will have their photos taken on Friday, October 10th. Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will go during their English class or SRT/Panther Plus while seniors will go during the time frame scheduled for their last name. Staff may go on either day. Students who miss Thursday may go on Friday or vice versa. 

Good luck to the Boys Tennis Team as they start Sectionals TONIGHT at 5:30 at Bloomington South. They would love to see the Panther Nation show out as we battle North in the quarter finals. Free entry to everyone with school spirit!
 
NHS will meet this Thursday, October 2nd after school in the Auditorium from 2:50-3:30pm.  If you are unable to attend, please read the meeting recap email that will be sent on Friday.  See Ms. Parmenter in B210 with any questions.
 
Thursday, 10/2, is Senior Night for volleyball. Toyota South is getting in the first 150 students FREE!. Pick up your ticket in the athletic office anytime between now and end of the school day 10/2. Come out and honor your seniors and support your Panther Volleyball team!!

TreeRing is South's yearbook publishing company and will plant a tree for every yearbook ordered. Additionally, students are able to customize two free pages in their yearbooks. Enjoy some tasty pizza and pasta from Buccetto's while also helping out The Optimist. This dine and donate is Wednesday evening at both Buccetto's locations. Just mention The Optimist when you order. 
 
Hey students! South's student newspaper has lots of new stuff for you. Find out what students think of the new IU bison mascot, hear from athlete Violet Hall, who will be competing in India this month, take a quiz about online school, and see the results of a school-wide water quality and taste test—it's all at bloomingtonsouthoptimist.org. Ever wonder what superpowers a dog has? Come to the PAWS meeting on Friday, October 3rd after school in room A239. You will get to meet Gracie, a therapy dog, who spends most of her day giving comfort to her patients. Stop by to say hello to Gracie and learn more about what therapy dogs do. All are welcome.

 Hoosiers Outrun Cancer race team again this year. Whether you walk, run, volunteer, or donate, join us in making a difference for friends and family impacted by cancer. Every dollar raised stays local to support Cancer Support Community South Central Indiana’s FREE programs and services for cancer patients, survivors, and their families. The race will be held on 10/4 starting at 10am.
